Moorea Island

Moorea is an island of Volcanic basis, located 11 miles northwest of Tahiti and has a boundary of 37 miles. Many people have illustrated Moorea as the most stunning place on the world. One of the features that are so outstanding about this island is the rough mountains and spires that give the island its unique profile. Geologists wonder that thousands of years ago, the northern border of the volcano either fell into the ocean or was blown away by a volcanic blast, leaving the heart-shaped island of now.

Moorea does not actually have any cities even though there are numerous towns and villages. When entering a village you will see an authorized road indication stating the name of the village you are entering. When exiting the village, you will see the same indication with village name, but the village name will have an “X” above it.
