Aria Hotel Budapest is a luxury boutique hotel with an exquisite design inspired by music. To complement the musical concept, designer Zoltan Varro’s vision was to simultaneously recreate the rich, lavish atmosphere of a historic Hungarian palace while embracing visitors in the warmth and comfort of a private residence.
Each of the four wings is dedicated to one of four major music genres: Classical, Opera, Contemporary, and Jazz. Each room and suite features caricatures by internationally acclaimed artist Joseph Blecha to celebrate the world’s greatest musical legends such as Maria Callas, Count Basie, Bob Dylan, James Brown, Whitney Houston, the Beatles and Hungary’s own Franz Liszt.
The Aria Hotel is the newest member of the Library Hotel Collection. Its musical concept gives travelers an extraordinary experience of Hungarian and world musical heritage. Located in the historic city center on the Pest side of the Danube River, Aria Hotel is situated beside the famous St. Stephen’s Basilica.
The hotel is only a few steps away from a charming pedestrian plaza featuring high-end shops, restaurants, cafés and musical entertainment, and within a five-minute walk of the renowned Chain Bridge, the elegant tree-lined Andrássy Avenue and the Budapest State Opera House. The city’s fairytale-like Parliament and endless palaces surrounding Szabadság tér (or “Freedom Square”) are also a short walk from the hotel.
Aria Hotel has 49 luxury room configurations, including four suites. The majority of the guestrooms offer private open-air balconies, most of which overlook the glass enclosed Music Garden courtyard and others that overlook Hercegprímás Street.
The glass enclosed Music Garden courtyard has a tiled piano path and cozy sitting areas perfect for socializing. Its unique transparent glass enclosure is a striking design feature without any steel support and a first and only one of its kind in Europe. To honor the hotel’s heritage, the lights above the Opera Wing staircase have been kept from the original building, paying tribute to the history of its transformation. The Music Garden courtyard serves as a social lounge, where guests are surrounded by music, entertainment and dining options.
Budapest is also known as the “City of Spas”. Harmony Spa at the Aria Hotel Budapest offers a unique fusion of spa and state of the art wellness for an integrated experience to help you relax, revitalize and re-energize. Travelers may choose from one of Aria’s most simple treatments or one of the intensive, structured detox or anti-aging nourishment, and enhance their experience with a wide range of spa, well-being, and anti-aging services including private Harmony Rooftop Yoga.
Harmony Spa features a Swedish sauna, infrared sauna, steam bath, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, Hydro Rider aquatic exercise bicycle, three private cabanas, a fitness center with cardio, and three private treatment rooms including one treatment room for couples.
The High Note Sky Bar is one of the highlights of your stay at the Aria Hotel Budapest. This is a full-service, lushly landscaped rooftop garden designed for your personal dining, cocktails, and sunbathing pleasure, all while reveling in the breathtaking views of Budapest and St. Stephen’s Basilica.
The garden consists of five parts. It has two pavilions that can be fully opened in the summer; however, guests can enjoy the beautiful view even in the winter season owing to the glass walls.
One of the special features of the house is located here, a 10-person bar table installed above a glass roof, through which our guests can enjoy the sight of the 6-storey high, circular staircase of the hotel. Another architectural curiosity takes us to the fourth and fifth parts of this space, to the two VIP terraces providing unforgettable entertainment 20 people each.
After exploring the city, Satchmo’s is just the spot for you to unwind, meet with friends, or mingle with the local crowd. Choose your groove, from the lively, glamorous retro bar to a quiet and romantic spot by the fireside lounge – or dine al fresco with cool drinks, hot jazz, and casual dining served on the garden terrace.
The Satchmo’s Bar is a real cosmopolitan bar, which was given a slight feminine touch. The walls are covered with turquoise colored real silk velvet, where dozens of white mirrors and picture frames imitates the boudoirs of Hollywood film and musical stars from the 1940s.
For casually sophisticated bistro-style dining, Stradivari is inspired by the exquisite beauty and perfect quality of the world-renowned violin. Guests are invited to experience a sense of privacy and elegance, whether it be for a luxurious breakfast, a business lunch or a romantic dinner.
