Emiliano Rio de Janeiro is located in a peaceful and strategic prime location in Copacabana beach, near the Fort. The contemporary design by Arthur de Mattos Casas, a renowned architect who also signed Emiliano São Paulo, has unique characteristics. The project concept of Brazilian modernism features a design that integrates sophistication and comfort to the liveliness of Rio.
The Emiliano Rio was designed in every detail to maximize comfort and exclusivity. Spaces are vast with some of the highest standard dimensions in the luxury hospitality industry. The sunlight is well explored to brighten accommodations and counter balance with the vibrant furniture colors.
The façade of Emiliano Rio de Janeiro deserves particular mention. Intricate surfaces named “cobogó” were specially designed to improve the experience of light and landscape while creating privacy. These surfaces can be operated as articulated panels revealing the inside of the rooms. The leaked elements lining the entire building were designed exclusively for the hotel and seek to break the continuity of the concrete blocks of buildings on the waterfront. The facade is alive and its organic design is ever changing according to the guests’ preference.
At the reception, selected fabrics and textures of the lobby furniture in shades of green honor the nature of the Guanabara Bay. The decor throughout the hotel has elements that value the heydays of Copacabana’s bohemian golden years with furniture signed by renowned designers of the 50’s, bringing personality and a touch of coziness to its modern architecture.
The hotel has 90 comfortable rooms, one third of them being suites, also bringing to Brazil a new concept of Spa Suites. As with the Emiliano São Paulo, all suites and apartments feature exclusive details in the decor and a combination of distinct advantages, such as 500 thread Egyptian cotton sheets, Hungarian goose feather pillows, Japanese heated toilet seats, high-tech automation and internet.
The Emile restaurant features a contemporary cuisine with the best Brazilian organic products with minimalist essence and consistency. Divided in two rooms in a warm atmosphere, a huge vertical garden reproduces the feel of the Atlantic Forest around the restaurant tables. Launched at the most recent Milan Furniture Show, the “lampião” chairs, designed by Arthur de Mattos Casas, make up for some exclusive details of this restaurant.
A true oasis, located on the 11th floor, the Santa Pelé Spa promotes rebalancing and provides multisensory experiences to harmonize body and mind with specific treatments focused on three pillars: relaxing, detoxifying and invigorating. With a well-being curation, the Spa was designed to integrate the wet areas of the hotel, such as the experience showers and saunas. The TechnoGym equipped fitness center overlooks the sea for guests to exercise in the best “carioca” style, but with total privacy. Along with the rooftop, an 11,850 sq. area is dedicated to moments of wellness.
Located on the same floor as the Santa Pelé Spa, the Spa Suites provide an extension of its experience in a more intimate ambience, combining accommodation with exclusive treatments and customized programs to meet couples’ needs. It is the perfect setting for guests to relax, recharge, elevate their mood and enjoy special occasions.
The rooftop is a very distinct space at the Emiliano Rio de Janeiro, with an infinity pool that allows you to enjoy the breathtaking view of Copacabana, one of the most famous beaches in the world. To complement the scenario, the pool side restaurant offers a light and healthy menu freshly prepared with organic and seasonal ingredients.
