Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is a luxurious 120-villa resort in Shaviyani Atoll north of Male. The name is already promising – translated “island in the secret water”. The 16-acre island is located in one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives and also offers five Tented Jungle villas in safari style next to beach and water villas.
Each villa has a contemporary design with a private pool, while materials such as wood and copper create a boho-inspired contemporary style. Getting together with nature and exploring the Maldives’ first underwater sculpture museum is made possible by the visionary British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, whose works in the lagoon are within sight of the resort. Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi joins a gently sloping nine-kilometer-long house reef, which is perfect for snorkeling and diving alike.
Guests can relax in the rooms or in the private outdoor baths in one of the nine large spa suites overlooking the ocean. The benevolent atmosphere invites to relax, to forget the rest of the world. This includes the design, which features hand-carved, lovingly crafted wooden doors that allow guests to enjoy the sea breeze in the tranquil, natural surroundings of the spa. The entire spa reflects the style of the Maldivian Islands and ocean-inspired treatments. The refreshing teas from the resort’s herb garden are a blessing for the body and mind.
An over-sized whirlpool and a 50-meter pool with calming light elements, soothing aromatherapy scents and water temperatures from tropical to refreshing cool promise pure relaxation in the spa area. The flow of energy can be stimulated by guests having a relaxing meditation in the spa garden or yoga sessions overlooking the azure blue sea.
